I've tried refreshing Windows - it fixed file explorer errors, but not the audio.
I did something and got the audio working again until I restarted so I know it's not a hardware issue. I've narrowed it down to the drivers but I'm not sure which driver I should be using and how to properly install it so Windows doesn't install something over it again. Please advise. I've spent tons of hours trying to figure it out. I also spent over 3 hours with Windows support desk and they remote checked everything and told me I would need to go to HP to find the driver that works with my laptop.
